We turn to Slide Guitar as taught by one of the best - Bill Yates, lead player for The Outlaws as well as protegee of The Allman Brothers Band and veteran of the Capricorn/Mussel Shoals scene. Bill de-mystifies open tunings and slide technique, concentrating especially on using the left hand to mute out the unwanted harmonics and back-notes that clutter poor quality slide playing. His hand-to-hand approach will give the guitarist all he or she needs to continue advancing and figuring out this rich and challenging variation on traditional guitar.
